Water Management: Water Purification Plant at Peddakandakur .

DE-FLUORIDATION PROJECT
Peddakandukuru Village in Nalgonda District the water contains very high amount of fluorides causing
week and bent bones in the population. A State of the Art technical solution of obtaining safe water by reverse Osmosis process was adopted and the plant purchased from Tata's was inaugurated at Peddakandukuru Village on 26th June 2005. This plant is working satisfactorily and is providing fluoride free water to 1500
homes. The beneficiaries are provided 15 liters of water per day at a nominal cost of Rs.50/- per month. The unit deliberately was purchased with extra capacity and more villagers are being enrolled for the benefit. It is expected that in due course the project maintenance will be self-sustained.
