District Awards Nite on 27-06-10 ,APSRTC Kala Bhavan, Azamabad, Hyderabad at 6.30pm :

My Dear Teammates,

My warm Rotary greetings and good wishes to you.

A little over forty days from now and we would be completing our Rotary year 2009-10, which has seen us build the FUTURE of OUR ROTARY with sustained zeal and consistent commitment. We have
endeavoured to do our best in the cause of Rotary and have relentlessly sought to apply the true spirit of our four-way test in the conduct of our affairs. It has truly been a satisfying, rewarding and fascinating
journey of service through friendship.

Before our year began I had announced a MONTREAL CHALLENGE for our club Presidents and Secretaries, the details in respect of which have also been published on Page:37 of our District Directory. The
criteria under the Challenge were tough – and included, among others, a minimum net gain of 5 members under Internal Extension, the formation of a New Club in the realm of External Extension and a minimum
contribution of USD 10000 to the Annual programs Fund / the Polio Fund of our Rotary Foundation. The Montreal Challenge was based on the philosophy, “that the impossible is generally the untried.”

I am happy to report that President G S Kartic and Secretary Venkat Ravilla of the Rotary Club of Hyderabad North are the proud WINNERS of the Montreal Challenge and I had the pleasure of presenting two cheques to them on my personal behalf, at a weekly Joint Rotary Meeting on the 15th of May 2010 at Hyderabad. Both of them will be attending the ROTARY INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION to be held at
Montreal, Canada from the 20th of June ’10 to the 23rd of June’10. Both of them have been guided by a compelling FOCUS and have in the process, set new benchmarks in club functioning. My hearty
congratulations and the best of wishes to both of them.

I am equally happy and proud to report that President Akula Ashok and Secretary Ramakrishna of RC Nizamabad have also qualified under the Montreal Challenge. They have indeed done a great job and shall be duly recognised at our Awards Nite.

Our District Awards Nite, “ OVATION 2010’ shall be held on Sunday, 27th June 2010 at the APSRTC Kala Bhavan, Azamabad, Hyderabad at 6.30pm, the hosts being the Rotary club of Jubilee Hills. To be held
under the Chairmanship of PP Gopalakrishna and the Prsidentship of Ravindra, OVATION 2010 will be the GRAND FINALE to a great year of friendship and service. All our clubs will be recognised at the function
and there will be many an Award for some outstanding achievements by our Clubs and Rotarians. Let us all attend in large numbers and bask in the glory of our splendid achievements.

Believe me, all our clubs are unique in their own way and our performance in membership growth and development, service projects, public relations and the Rotary Foundation has been outstanding and the
Awards Nite will show case your achievements, our achievements in an inspiring spirit of undiluted celebrations! The function will be followed by DINNER. Let us all join together to celebrate our achievements!

With kind Regards

Yours in Rotary
