Immediate Relief

Preliminary relief provided in terms of food, clothing, blankets, basic utensils & medication. Efforts and contributions of the clubs in RI district 3150 were channeled through the Rotary Club of Bhadrachalam (our district's club in the affected area) with participation from over 60 Rotarians from various clubs in the Rotary district; working closely with the Government officials in the area.

Our club collected about 20 cartons of used clothes, Rs. 2,100/- in cash and about 6 stoves from about 12 members of “Team Sunrise” for the Bhadrachalam Flood Victims. Apart from these, our club had send about 500kg (worth Rs.7, 000/-) of Rice also. These items were sent to the co-ordinator of Twin Cities Rotary, Mr. Suresh Vellore on 13th August 2006. Rotarians Chandrashekar, Ramayya and Srinivas Gl co-ordinated the logistics of collecting the material, packing it and dispatching the same.
